County Fair Booth
Victoria, Eliana, Alma and Mr. Natoli worked at the Democratic booth at the Tulare County Fair today from 11:30 to 4:00. We registered 11 Democrats and handed out probably another 12 forms for people to register themselves or their family members at home or to change to becoming permanent absentee voters (voting by mail.) The figures show permanent absentees vote at a much higher rate. We also handed out a lot of small toys to the children. A good time was had by all!

Senate Passes Health Care
A momentous step was taken this morning when the U.S. Senate passed its version of health care reform. This would not have been possible without the election of a Democrat as president and strong Democratic majorities in both houses of congress. In the Senate, every Democrat voted in favor and every Republican against.
After the Christmas recess a conference committee from both chambers, House and Senate, will have to reconcile the different bills both have passed. Once this is done America will join the rest of the advanced world in recognizing that health care is a fundamental right, not a privilege for those who have the most money or work for the best employers.
Congratulations to the President, the Democrats in Congress and to everyone who has worked to help make this dream a reality.

Read or LISTEN to the Healthcare Reform Bill currently before Congress. There is no better weapon in this debate than the truth.
